    Botanicare testing products on animals

The animals obtained by those people were lucky! You should have seen what I did to the chicken I had for dinner. Yesterday we had hamburgers, that poor bastard got ground up before I even bought it.

Cooling a room in the summer.

If your relative humidity is "fairly" low, you might want to think about a swamp cooler (evaporative cooler). They are way cheaper, both to buy and to operate. They are good for about a 20 degree farenheit reduction - if your humidity is low enough you can run the air thru 2 swamp coolers and...

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

If that's true, you must be less than ten years old! Everyone has been called an asshole at one time or another.

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

As long as they both illuminated my shop equally; I'd buy the 24 watter. Wouldn't you?

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

In their specifications they list "Power - 54 watts" and "Lumens - 5,000".

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

I'm not really an LED guy, so I don't know what the Hell "Corn Style" means. They look like a regular flourescent shoplight except they have two rows of white LED's - with an LED about every 1/2" or 3/4". I don't see why Wal-mart would mis-represent the true power consumption - they're not...

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

Yea I hear that! But growlight companies want to impress people with inflated numbers. These are just shoplights meant for the mundane public.

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

Have you tried growing with them?

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

Wal-mart is selling shop lights; if they only draw 24 watts - that would be a good selling point - why would they jack up the power consumption? It makes no sense. I doubt if they could be daisy chained, they're just shop lights.

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

They claim 54 watts, why do you claim they don't? They're so bright you can't stare into them

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

    What's wrong with 'em?

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

    Sorry, I don't have a link, I just saw them at Wal-mart.

    LED SHOPLIGHTS?

Has anybody checked these out? Or does anybody use them for growing? Wally World is selling a "4 Pack" of 54 watters (that's 216 watts) for $72.00 - WOW! If they're any good for growing, that seems like a steal. Let's hear what y'all think.

    Actually, it's called "Guppyponics".

    Luner Light

Plants don't really need 100%, complete, darkness - that's just a commonly beleived myth! Because there has been a Full Moon for at least several thousand years; Cannabis has learned to operate with a certain tolerance to a "Threshold" amount of light. Anything much stronger than that will...

Using MH and HPS Lights in Combination

So, it would seem this whole "2 to 1 ratio" thing is just a bunch of bullshit! I get nothing but a shitstorm over which is better LED's or HID's, or else, a bunch of alternative suggestions. I appreciate the responses but nobody is really addressing my original question.

Using MH and HPS Lights in Combination

Yeah, I know what you mean - too many possibilities! Those dual arc bulbs are the same idea I'm talking about, except they only come in one configuration. They don't make one that's 600 watts MH and 400 watts HPS that I know of.

Using MH and HPS Lights in Combination

It seems we have gotten into an HID - LED shitstorm. That's not the point of my original question at all! I can understand your suggestions for using LED's. But I am asking about using HID's - SPECIFICALLY - using them in the afore mentioned "2 to1Ratio". It is not about efficiency or heat...
