    stress question

That shouldn't be a problem. The only critical lighting concern that matters in this case is to maintain the uninterupted "12 hours of darkness schedual". The occasional loss of a little "Light time" should only result in a (very) slight loss of growth due to less photosynthesis overall - no...

    Cloning - How Many Times????

The conditions you have mentioned all amount to nothing more than "bad growing conditions". They would, of course, affect the growth of any plant growing under those conditions, but have no effect on the DNA. Please understand, I'm not saying that nothing could ever change the DNA that gets...

The Story of Mont Blanc Pens

I especially liked the part where you can use the pen to poke a little hole in the soil to plant your seed in.

    Unconventional plant cultivation

No, I've heard of it. He just knows that if he can make you believe it, he can sell you something! And about those other links you posted about U.S. Patent Applications. None of that is proof of anything. The granting of a patent does not imply in any way, shape, or form that the U.S...

    Cloning - How Many Times????

That's why I said "It is logical to think that way". Like you said, a Xerox copy, of a copy, etc., etc. will deffinately degrade, no doubt! But a cutting of a plant is a continuation of the same plant, not a "copy". There is no "copying" of DNA, so there is no degradation - there is just a...

    Cloning - How Many Times????

That's true, they are subject to thier respective environments. But the point is they have the same gentics - the exact same DNA! For example, a slice of skin off your toe has the same DNA as a slice of skin off your ear. Your brother (or sister) will have, very nearly, the same DNA; but not quite!

    Why bubbled water?

I sense that part of what you are asking is "Why bubble the water?". The bubbles keep the water "stirred up" and add extra Oxygen, both of which help the Chorine evaporate out faster. And if your "brewing" tea it also speeds up that process a little, not quite sure why though.

    Cloning - How Many Times????

It is logical to think that "generation after generation - blah -blah - blah", would cause some genetic breakdown. But that's just human skeptisism overlooking the facts. The fact is that "clones" are really just cuttings of the same plant, regardless of how many "generations" - its still the...

    Maintaing a mother plant question

I respectfully disagree! That feeding chart is "pushing" the plants (feeding maximum nutrients - for fast growth). You don't want to feed your Mother plant like an athelete in training; you want her to be like someone on a diet. Of course this is assuming that you are a non-commercial, home...

    Unconventional plant cultivation

If it worked you'd know, because they would be bragging about it. It doesn't work, becase you never hear about any results. Trust me, if someone comes up with a better idea - we hear about it!

Don't underestimate the importance of trimming the roots. That's a critical part of keeping the Bonsai small!

14 hours of light during last 2 weeks

You know what's really funny? I brought up this concept a couple of years ago (in responce to someone's question) and I just about got laughed off of that thread by all the nay-sayers. I guess it was an idea before it's time! It's not my original idea by the way! But I'm glad to see that people...

How long should I leave plants in solo cups before I should transplant?

It's perfectly OK to wait till you see some "Root Action" comming out of the drain holes, like chrishydro said. Although I like to see "several" roots - same idea!

sealed room, does it have an exhaust?

I don't understand, in the first paragraph you say that you already have 2 fans (1 blowing in and 1 blowing out). Then you ask if you still need exhaust (do you mean more exhaust?). A sealed room is sealed! No intake - no exhaust. The Cool-tubes don't count because thier intake and exhaust are...

    Severe heat stress!??

"with a steady temp that stays between 70-85 degrees." With those temperatures, you can forget about heat stress!

    Outdoor light problem?

If you're 200 ft. from a lamp post, I think the light is the least of your problems! If you're that close to "civilisation", some dumb ass kids are bound to have seen your plant - who told thier freinds - who told thier freinds - etc.

When should they go in the ground

They're plenty tall enough already! You could have had them in the ground since they were seeds or rooted clones. You best hurry up though, not too much time left for growing outdoors.

    CFL Lumen Differences?

No, lumens is the amount of light that is emitted from the bulb. How much of that light that actually reaches your plant is another story all together, it diminishes very rapidly! Simply by reducing the distance the light has to travel by one half, you conserve the light energy by a factor of four!
