Samsung LED strip build having concerns. Wattage dropping

Three possibilities I can think of, one like GBAUTO said, a connection is deteriorating for some reason leading to voltage drop, your driver is starting to poop out, or maybe you have a few (all?) of your strips requiring max production voltage. This is listed as 24.2V +/- .3V. Problem with...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

You would want all four in series with that driver. Driver+to board1+, board1- to board2+, board2- to board3+, board3- to board4+, board4- to driver-.

    Bridgelux EB Series Build

Yes, will be around 60V total and 350mA to each strip.

    120v and 240v questions

Nah, same stuff, different orientation. Now, there are 15 amp rated 5-15r, but that's not the issue here.

Looking for the right Driver to run 12 Luminus CXM22 3500k 90cri Cobs

This would be true for the 'A' version. The 'B' version is capped at 48V. You will not be able to remotely dim the 'A' driver. I run 10x CXM-22 on an HLG-480H-C1750B at 35w each (5 series / 2 parallel), but I don't recommend it. This configuration draws 470w at the wall when all the way up...

    120v and 240v questions

It won't matter in this case. The 6-15 is to keep you from blowing up your 110V devices, but since your device doesn't care neither will the plug.

    Need help choosing drivers!!!

Hey Greenman218, As you probably know from your research that when you run LED's in series the forward voltages add up. Also, you know these are pretty high voltage chips among the COB's we are interested in at 68V each. That HLG480H-C1400B driver you mentioned will drive 274VDC and stay in...

HLG q.v. 288's optimal driver set

I have wired these boards in a few different ways. Maximum output for 4 boards was achieved with an HLG-480H-C2100, close to 550W at the wall. Series wiring, of course, but I see the high voltage as an advantage because you can install the driver remotely with very little line loss. Other...

    custom pcb strip from shenzen

For 14 strips you won't be saving enough to risk low performance, IMO. If it were me (and I've been where you are) I would stick to the tried and true Sammys from Digikey. It's still fun to figure out the strip configuration, though. For that driver the maximum series voltage is 143V so you'd...

    custom pcb strip from shenzen

You have a driver in mind? Total number of strips? Area you'd like to cover? You may be in for disappointment unless you need 100's of strips on the cheap and have a reliable seller in your corner.

Help With Strip Spacing for 800 ppfd

That cc 1050 driver you mentioned would work too and give you a little more headroom for adding strips, but at the expense of a bit of the maximum power the driver will put out. I will defer to Mr. nfhiggs for running close to max, as I do not have direct experience with that exact configuration.

Help With Strip Spacing for 800 ppfd

I prefer to run parallel because it allows easy expansion along with an efficiency boost when you add more strips. If you insist on series wiring, the meanwell HLG-240H-C1400 doesn't quite have enough voltage for those 8, but it should work since it is very close and those 'A' version drivers...

Making the switch hps to qb

Up to you, but I would not use stranded zip cord. I do have to agree that you may need a little more to replace the 600 hid. I am having good success with 4x V2 boards at around 450w @ wall using the mean well 480's.

Making the switch hps to qb

Looks like you're on the right track. That driver will not overdrive those boards in any condition, so no worries there. Get yourself some 18ga solid wire rated for 300V or better. Can be hard to find locally so you may have to order it. No experience with HLG heatsinks, so can't help you there.

Help With Strip Spacing for 800 ppfd

Meanwell HLG-240H-24A will run those 8 in parallel at around 75% of max. You can dial down from there to get the output you require. Use the size strips that fit best in your space.

Before I drop a grand on a DIY setup some advice would be helpful.

I'm using a Mean Well HLG320H-24A with 3000K Q-strips with much success. Watts at wall is 375 with 22 strips.
