    Light meters

Lux is OK for comparative measurements of HID lighting, but you really want a PAR meter, especially for LED.

    new 1000w led strip project

I'd also add that the OP should not beat himself up over trying to find covers for the LED strips unless he's going to be drenching them in fluids. Most of the diodes we work with are already covered in a silicone protective barrier that can be cleaned with iso alcohol. A drop or occasional...

I need help from a true growing genius

They will look like tiny grains of rice in my experience. Look at any leaf that is curled or yellowed/crispy on or near the main vein (midrib). They will be an order of magnitude smaller than the spider mite (1/10th as big).

I need help from a true growing genius

You may change your mind about hoping I'm right. These bastards are a formidable enemy. If you're having trouble eradicating spider mites, abandon all hope of evicting the broad.

I need help from a true growing genius

2-spotted you can see, broads you gotta break out the scope. What you describe is almost exactly what I went through. Plants would limp through veg with curled tops and yellow crispy bottoms, perk up in early bloom and then die from the bottom up in late bloom.

You have broad mites. Inspect with 60x microscope to see the little bastards chewing on your hard work.

    Keeping humidity in your tent

Pond fogger. They make them big and small. They really suck up water (and electricity!). I have a 9gal/day Lasko that I modified by adding a float to refill. Been working great for years, but when I need more in the dead of winter I kick on the fogger. I can make it so humid you can barely...

my home built samsung LTQB22A unit, is it too powerful?

These replaced 840W of CMH and 600W of HPS before that. Same result, 1/2 the electric cost. Thanks for playing.

my home built samsung LTQB22A unit, is it too powerful?

Your setup is almost identical to one of mine. You need a PAR meter to do this right, but I have found that once acclimated, 350 watts for that space is not too much. Here's 400W worth of those strips:

How can I slow veg rate while maintaining plant health?

Exactly where I was going. Males tend to grow much faster.

Any pointers to growing 1 lb plants?

Can't comment on outdoor, but for me it takes scrog technique and coco in 5g smart pots with 5 waterings per day. I veg for a long time, but this is mainly because I run perpetual. 9-12 plants, 1m x 1m net, harvest every two weeks, 2# per month like clockwork. Best ever was LSD in 70 gallons...

    Glass vapor genie for dmt?

Not for the budget conscious, but I found the best DMT rig to be a quartz e-banger, coil and enail driver attached to a small Gordo Scientific bubbler. Tried pyrolizing in a standard bong, but never really launched until that was in place.
