Spider mites week 4 of outdoor flower

Sever leaves??? Definitely thrip damage, I get them every year outdoors. Just spray with spinosad or Capt jacks Dead Bug Spray (also spinosad). As buds get bigger and budworm season approaches, I spray weekly last month before harvest

Is transplanting a waste of time?

Outdoors here. In the past I've tried going directly into the final pot (10-15 gallons) once the clone is well rooted and the plant somewhat developed. Just an observation but it does seem to work better to transplant up, when you move from one container up a size, typically the roots have...

    Finish in the dark?

Doesn't hurt to experiment, but personally I wouldn't waste my time on this myself. Flowering is caused by hormones that build up as the length of darkness increases, and once flowering starts reducing darkness even more won't speed up the process, and could potentially limit your yield and...

    First Time Outdoor Grow

Just looking at the leaves, you may be overwatering them, that droop is what I've seen when I was learning how to water, and overwatering can cause leaf yellowing and dying. But it IS normal for leaves to yellow and die during flower, just make sure they're getting he nutes they need. 90dg plus...

    Impatient First time grower

NorCal here, don't think aside from a few one-off unusual situations I've chopped before Oct 10th, typically mid October seems to be about right for me. My plants are at about the same stage of flowering as yours are

    Captain Jack and Lost Coast

Captain Jacks is meant to be a spray, not added to soil. You're supposed to SPRAY the leaves, totally separate from watering/feeding. Spray and the mites will be dead in less than a day

    12/12 back to 18/6 because of problems?HELP

You'll just stress and stunt the plant by switching light schedules back and forth. Going to 12/12 has already started the flowering process internally if there are no visible signs right now so leave it. Do you have enough drainage holes in those pots? If not may want to punch a few more in...

    Captain Jack and Lost Coast

Not sure what you're asking. You sprayed Captain Jack for thrips then? Feeding nutes totally different, you can do that whenever they need it, If you've been 'treating' (spraying) Capt jacks more than once there's no need, one spraying is good for a few weeks

    Spider Mites - Chop?

I have no idea what's in the product you posted. I was talking about Spinosad which Capt Jack makes, not sure about this stuff

Almost ready to harvest but heat is coming

I'm not clear why a temperature in the 90's would be a factor in when to harvest. It's pretty much 90-100dg here all summer, plants love it. You have a long ways to go. IMO you have at least a month. more likely mid October. Forget the trichs, the pistils are what matters.

    Spider Mites - Chop?

You can buy Montery brand and dilute per instruction and mist the plants. Or buy Captain Jack's already in a spray bottle. No need to wash it off...it isn't poison and dissipates on its own ..will not affect taste. I've used it a week before harvest for budworms as well as mites

    Spider Mites - Chop?

A good spray with spinosad will kill them. I've had them several times and it did the trick. Will not affect the taste at all.

    Another pest thread

Spray with spinosad/Captain Jack's. Will kill thrips, whiteflies, spider mites, budworms etc. It dissipates, does not leave a residue and will not affect the taste. I've sprayed on bud within a week or 2 of harvest, no issues

    Leaf signs

You may be overthinking things. To my eyes it looks like you're overwatering based on your leaves. Mine are outdoors and they seem to need water every 2=3 days depending on how hot it gets. I don't water until he earliest signs of droop. I check them several times a day so it's not like the...

Any thoughts on how the Banana Garlic is growing? Is it a trait of that strain, or???

Not my first rodeo but sometimes another set of eyes is helpful

Been growing outdoors for a little over 10 years successfully. I've had the usual issues most of us get, overwatering, budworms, whiteflies, thrips etc. and learned how to make them go away. I use Grow Big and Tiger Bloom in Ocean Forest and that's about it. It's not unusual to get yellowing to...
