I start mine under the same light from day one that I grow it under from start to finish. I don't use the paper towel method either. I stick mine in a piece of PH'd rock wool and bury it in Plagron Grow Mix. A few days later I have a healthy seedling. Works every time.

I usually let mine go for a few weeks in the small plastic starter pot before I transplant. Just remember that you can't really give your plant too much water but you can water it too often.

I use Plagron Grow mix and Canna Nutrients supplemented with some Fox Farms stuff I have leftover. I use the "light" feeding schedule on Canna Nutrients website. I've only done a few grows with Canna Nutrients but so far I'm very impressed.

Watch those Fox Farms nutes because the feeding schedule is too strong in my opinion. I'd back it down to a minimum of 50% of the recommendation and maybe as low as 25%.
