I wouldn't use the molasses every time. I don't know if you read it or no, but molasses will also lower your ph, anywhere from a mere .2, up to a whole point.

I burned one of my plants pretty badly with a 400w HPS. The burned cola developed a scarlike mass of leaf at the top, never did bud like it should. There was still bud underneath though - just nothing like it should have been.

Yeah mine too, and I don't know why people have a problem with them - I've grown a lot of GHS strains, germination wasn't a problem.
