Well, I top all my plants, at around three weeks old, and I grow from feminized seed even - and have yet to have one go hermie on me from it. You can't make a female plant turn male anyway - just hermie.

I can't answer about the yield, but an auto-flower will flower under any light cycle, including 24/0, 18/6, or anything else you wish to put it under.

I see what you're saying, and I've heard the arguements for. But if that was the case, most growers with the proper environment would be getting most, if not all, females - and it doesn't happen that way. I think you've been lucky.;-)

Yep that's right, week six began this past Sunday. My plants will still be getting plenty of nitrogen, as I still give them veg nutes (at half strength) along with the flowering nutes, all the way through flower.

I've read some of that stuff too, and my own opinion, is that you can't change the sex of the seed - it is what it is. If you leave a mature male in there then yes, he will pollinate the females (but not before they're sexually mature). If you don't want random pollination, I suggest harvesting...

If it's your friend's plants, I would say do as they asked. The instructions on various nute bottles are not always acurate for mj, and as growers we kinda learn to read what our plants want, in spite of directions.

I do 20/4 for my plants. I top around week three, and veg under CFL's for 8 weeks total - they are around a foot tall when they go in to flower, and finish from there between three and four feet. The four hours of darkness gives my girls time to rest, and builds a better root system - not to...

lol...Some strains do stink, in a bad way. Some smell like cat piss, some like a skunk's ass - you get the idea. It gets that smell we love after it's dried and cured. Most of the smell comes from the cure, because before that, it pretty much smells like cut grass, or hay. Long answer I guess...

Hmmmm - a 42 day old clone should be sexually mature enough to flower immediately when you switch. I've got a batch of Lemon Skunk vegging right now, they'll be going in to flower in a week and a half. Now I always veg my plants from feminized seed for eight weeks, and it always takes around...

I always top mine above the second true node, for four tops. The original node where the first, single-bladed leaves is, do not count as a node.

Interesting. How old were the plants when you put them in to flower? What strain?

If I flush, I usually give their regular feeding with the last gallon I pour through - never had a problem doing it that way.

lol...qc stands for quality control. I've ordered from The Attitude three different times now, got my seeds every time. Just an FYI though, the tracking sucks - can't really rely on it to know where your seeds are, so don't panic.
