Yep it's the CFL's - buds won't be as dense with them. An HID (or High Intensity Discharge) is what they call MH (Metal Halide) and HPS High Pressure Sodium) lights. You can get them at a lot of places online, I usually go through www.htgsupply.com - good prices, and great customer service.

I could be wrong, but I think autos usually finish a month faster than non auto strains.

Different phenotypes are often found in the same strain, kind of like human children. You may have the exact same parents but wind up with one brown haired, blue eyed child, and one red haired, green eyed child. A lot less diversity in the plants of course, but you get the idea.

Your two definately have a more Sativa dominant appearance than Reelfiles - interesting. Maybe it wasn't LS that DNA sent out.

They are green still, and not completely yellow, right? They don't look near as bad as I had imagined. Get the heat under control, keep that light up high enough, they should be fine. No more misting!

Yeah that's the way I've tried to do it, but I must have a higher tolerance for heat or something, because every single time, if it's felt comfortable to my hand, it still burned my plants. I'm gonna have to try for actual distance I guess - like 18"-24", see if that works instead.

Yep, most likely. Sounds like the leaves suffered from a combination of the heat being too high, and the light being too close. Don't feel too bad, I just had to cut the entire top off one of my girls, burned to a crisp early in flower - never did recover, least not the top - it's fine...

Without seeing the pics, I'd say don't give up on them just yet. If they haven't dried out why are you misting them in the first place?

You have been watering them, aside from the misting, right? Misting under an HID is never a good idea - yes, those spots will be where the water pooled and the light burned.

Definately a Sativa there....she's got a long way to go still, that's why you aren't seeing much bud yet! I don't know why your leaves are doing that - possible nutrient deficiency, though I couldn't say what. She should be drinking more than one cup of water every three days though!
