I assume when you say PH of 5.8 you are using hydro...we needs pictures and need to know wtf you are using for nutrients and the PPM...and any other relevant information which you may think would help us diagnose the issue :)

yeah probably fungas gnats...try and keep the soil as dry as possible...they live on 3 week cycle...so the worms in the soil leave eggs behind and they develop into flies...if you can't kill them off by watering less you might have to try a chemical like Imidacloprid to get rid of em.
