Blackstrap mollasses from the health food shop will reduce your ph. Add and test. Add more and so on..

i wouldnt use any kind of foil . better to use a white paper plate if any. the foil will unevenly deflect the light, maybe creating hot spots, and burnt leaves. stress!!. just my thoughts
