Believe I have Gnats 2 wks into flower 2 DJ BB, 8 Alaskan Haze. Any Thoughts?

Sand will help your situation for sure, but it will not eliminate the fungus gnats. I would suggest using diatomecious earth on the top layer of soil (after a watering) as well as buying some "Mosquito dunks" (These are just a form of bacteria that eat the larval form of fungus gnats) and...

SS AK47 Questions. Germinating seeds tonight.

Thanks for the response! The how many for my space question was not explained well by me. If I do not top or scrog this AK47 How many should I try to fit into my 2x4 space. Also I was wanting to hear some AK growers opinions on either leaving it tree style, or if I should scrog/top/fim this...

SS AK47 Questions. Germinating seeds tonight.

I have been reading up on AK47 since that is what I am starting next, and I saw mixed reviews on topping or not topping. I would guess about 65% of what I read said do not top AK47, and I was wanting to know yalls opinion on that. Also for those of you who have grown AK47, what height should I...

After thinkign on it for a second, I really dont know how I would incorperate a hepa filter, outside of cutting it to size (which may leave gaps for pollen to escape) any suggestions?

    Too much airflow?

I must agree with both previous posters, make sure your vents are open for air intake, and cooltubes are great for keeping temps down. Only other thing I could think of would be to use a insane-o vent fan. In my closet i use a 449cfm Vortex vent fan for my 2 400W CMH bulbs (In a dual cool tube)...

Need assistance containing a pollenation chamber

Hi folks, I am trying to build a small area that I can let my G13haze flower in, and receive pollen. I want to do this because of the structure and inter nodal spacing on my male G13H is exactly what I look for in all plants. Also I want a few thousand seeds.. Anyway, I am between buying a...

OFFICIAL CMH THREAD! (Post Your Ceramic Metal Halide Grows, ?'s & Experiences Here!)

I wouldnt dare say its one of the nicest I have seen on this forum, but I do think my CMH grows turn out better than my friends HPS grows do. I usually have more resin than my buddies, but still the taste and smell are better from my friends organic grows. If we, as indoor gardeners are trying...

    Supersoil moistness question

Sorry I had such a n00b question (Found the answer in subcools guide... go figure). Also roots need to be present when using a myco tea. They need to attach to the roots to create their symbiotic relationship, otherwise they die off.

OFFICIAL CMH THREAD! (Post Your Ceramic Metal Halide Grows, ?'s & Experiences Here!)

CMH comes in 250W and 400W that use magnetic ballasts, below that wattage they use pulse start metal halide ballasts. I know for a fact they go down to 75W bulbs.

OFFICIAL CMH THREAD! (Post Your Ceramic Metal Halide Grows, ?'s & Experiences Here!)

I wish I still had pictures from my first and second grow, using only CMH lights... I do have a pic of fruit automatic finished under a 250W CMH, and a Picture of my chocolope in veg, under 800W of CMH. It is my personal opinion that the CMH lights do help with resin production, but I am lacking...

    Supersoil moistness question

So how can you tell your super soil is moist enough? I had to use 3 diff trash cans to fit all of my SS in, and I'm unsure how much water is needed. Also what temp should the center of the soil be? Mine is ranging from 80F-86F at its current easy to stir moisture level.

    Jillybean Height Indoors

My Jilly beans stretched about 6 inches at flowering, in soil I finished at a height just under 4ft. You can control the height with the size pot you use, but that is not advised!

    Organic cheap nutes solution

you should be safe with that, but to be safe(r?) if you have two plants, give one of them half water half tea, and the other one straight tea. A trial would best answer your question!! :)

    Whats wrong with my leaf?

I was thinking it might be a disease. Its at the middle of the plant, far away from the watering hose. I am just giving them RO (with silica to 50ppm) with compost teas every 2 weeks. Could my tea burn the leaves like synthetic fertilizer if i did manage to get some on this one leaf?

    PHing Organic Nutrients in Coco???

I have been seeing people talk about using citric acid and some sort of sugar (Sucanat I think) to make an organic PH down. For PH up I use silica blast, I am sure any silica would work.... I sometimes have to add much more than is called for, but I have not yet seen any Ill effects of using...
