I cant move the lights any closer as they would be touching as there all arround 1 inch away, I really dunno why its stretched like it has as the cfl's have always been about 1 inch away, may down to the plant spending its first 2 weeks on kitch windowsill. Thanks anyway

yea like they dont add up in the sense of how many lumens you bulbs letting out, its what eva is on the side of your bulb box, but if placed in shaded areas you are making the best of em, my plants got em coming from all directions gl with urs

well i got 6 cfl's above this plant and 6 around it with 1100 lumens, the only way i can think why more lights is beneficial to the plant is, down to the plant getting those 1100 lumens in places where it wouldn't get them normaly, like under a fan leaf, if the lights are placed arround it...
