MG soil is not THAT bad, it's not the best, but it is far from poison. You just have to watch your PH a little closer when using it. The MG plant food is what causes all the issues and thats because it's to strong. If you use about half of what the directions call for you can be fine.

Could be the plant is sending all the nutes it does have to the flowers. This happens late in flowering. That said, some bloom nutes could only help and they will increase your yield.
