Just got this, this morning, anyone own one or know how to get a reading off of it, want to check the soil in pot and also test my water, but nothing seems to be happening on the dile, anyone know what im doing wrong?

Or maybe them litte bstards have been crawling all over a neighbours male plants, before coming round to have a party on your lol or they could be remote control flys with tiny cameras operated by the government sat out side in a black van lol can tell im stoned :) kill em all!

Im no expert but im sure its in your interest to keep any insect away from your plants that are showing any interest in them :P

Sorry just read the "read this first" thread, its 5 weeks old 4 weeks sunlight 1 week in growroom under cfl's was potted in organic soil, watered about once every 3 days in tap water which has been stood for over 24 hours, no nutrients yet, and ph tester coming tomorrow in post.

Noticed in last 2 days the lower 3 node fanleafs tips are yellowing, has not affected the top 2 sets yet, anyone know why this is happening? Thanks Baz

Hi good ol, ive currently got all my lights pluged into that in the picture then that plugged into my timer, ive found some higher watt ones but am going to wait and see if this test plant works out as for 6 of them it would cost £35.00

Yea true, its about 5 weeks old but spent the first 4 weeks in sunlight, to be honest i think i may have stunted it or something as it has only grown about an inch since putting under cfl's, going to have to get some seeds and start over i think, it was only ever a test plant anyway. thanks for...

I thought it was 75 watts per square foot? maybe a few more if it gets bigger but not loads surely, im sick of wiring em and im running out of sockets :P

Hi all, this is my lighting set up completed 6 x 18 watt cfl's which say equivelent to a 100 watt bulb, so ive got 108 watts in all 72 watts above the plant and 36 watts lowerdown arround the plant, tell me what you think and if i could improve it somehow, think temp will be arround 80 once the...

Cool, my 4 at moment add up to 72 watts and i only got the one test plant so if i add the other two that should be enough for it Thanks for help ill get there in the end :)

So i could buy a few more light fittings and bulbs but i think the best route is to source higher wattige bulbs that will fit the fittings i have

hmmm mine are 18 watts eqivelent to 100 watts, i have 4 but will have 6 tomorrow, so on that note have i got the wrong bulbs m8?

Try get a few of these or something like them, i got 4 of them above my plant and intend to have another 2 at the sides bellow the leafs, my plants seems to be doing ok with them, and they dont cost the earth, just make sure you get the right fitting as the one pictured will prob not fit
