Hormones vs Co2 - Hormones Cheaper Potentially Yeild the Same!

So eza, how did that amazing plant go. I experimented with a tanning light, 5x 25cm tubes putting out 290 to 400 nm on a lowrider 2 but it got severely sunburnt from too much exposure, then I accidently mixed it in with other buds so not sure if it worked.

Even indoors I do organic and like to feed the soil and not the plant. That's why I have my own worm farm and use Tarantula and Piranha with mollasses to help feed them. I've been experimenting with feeding my worms certain foods high in either N,P or K. But this is more a long term experiment...

Lets just say I'm in the Dental field, I don't want to give too much away on a public site, I could lose my license to practice.bongsmilie

Man you said that really well, the only hormones I have used are with penetrator and foliar sprayed. I guess that's why the instructions say to foliar spray. Makes sense.bongsmilie

That's why I aerate my water. Haven't heard of Ca02 so I'll check it out, but does it affect the benificial mycrobes?

Also about Cytokinins, I use Nytrozyme, it's great stuff and claims to increase Cytokinin properties, the natural plant hormones necessary for plant growth. Some info here, or google for more. http://justhydroponics.com.au/products/Nitrozyme_1_Ltr-18-45.html

I'm curious about using h2o2, I always thought it was more of a hydro thing as it kills all the goodies in the soil mix. We discussed it's use when I was doing my masters at uni about 2 years ago, but that was mainly about it's use in infection control. I add Tarantula and Piranha with mollasses...

If They All Die I'ma Go Crazy

Bone and blood meal wont help, they are more for a long term soil conditioner. What you have is poor drainage, too much water and not enough light. I know, I've been watching everything you do with my telescope and listening devices.bongsmilie

    Magnesium deficiency????????

What sort of bottled water are you using, normally only distilled or RO water caused calcium and mg deficiencies.

    Shroom invasion???

Pics would help, shrooms come from spores so it's either too humid or they used some spent mushroom compost in the soil mix, which is supposed to be good. I'd just pick them out though.

    Anyone ever grow this??

I've grown Nirvana Pure Power Plant (PPP) which seems to be the same. It's an excellent strain, nice solid buds with a great high. Pre flowers are easy to see at 4 weeks so getting rid of males early is good.

Hi eza, just want to apolagise for the the crap I said. I was just in a really bad mood after fighting with my boss and saw your pm and over reacted like a spoilt kid. I didn't notice your apology so sorry for offending you. What I said was in anger and looking back at it I cant believe that it...

Hormones vs Co2 - Hormones Cheaper Potentially Yeild the Same!

True, what you said, so I'm not disagreeing. I've been having a hard time at work lately and once again I've over reacted to something I would normally take in my stride, I don't hold grudges and never stay angry at anyone for very long. I actually came back to this post to delete what I said...

    yellowing leaves...

Wow man, they are so sad looking. Plenty of water is not always a good thing, actually it can be the opposite. You should let the soil dry out between waterings, it can be completely dry before the plants wilts. Did you add any perlite, 30% is good for drainage. Too much water equals death...

    Best advice you cant get!!!!

OMG it's ego central again, what is it with some people. It's like when a friend starts selling pot they get this demi god complex and their head swells. Well it seems to be the same with people growing it. Everyone mistakenly thinks they know more than the rest of the world. There is ALWAYS...

"can anyone give me an opinion" PICS

Yes mate, looking OK, they can seem to be slow growing when you constantly look at them. It's good to take a pic every week so you know they are coming on. But it will be more than 3 weeks to mature properly.

    How does it look?

They are a little small for 3 weeks and also stretched, what lights are you using? they need more.

How do treat 6 month old soil

Since I lost my driving license I have to carry all my potting mix 1.6 kilometres (1 mile) to my home and as it's been summer here and very hot in the sub tropics I have been re-using my soil. I mix in some worm castings and benificial microbes like Tarantula and piranha and 50% new potting mix...

dont males grow at a quicker pase then females?

I have noticed this on several grows, but it's not 100% reliable, and may also depend on the strain. Best to wait for the pre-flowers, but then again this may also depend on the strain. Some strains give you clearly visable pre-flowers at around 4 weeks, while others are a complete mystery until...
