I consider 9 weeks a minimum. It's much better to harvest a little late than early. At the start of the 9th week I do a check of trichomes to decide if the 9th week will be the flush week or if I will run nutes another week first.

Soil or hydro? 85 is too hot for hydro. It means your res temps are too high will will slow growth at 85.

If you had a vaporizer you could put it directly in there. You just have to go through a lot of water vapor first.

What kind of room temps do you all have who are concerned about res temps? I keep my temp at plant tops under 80, the outer room temp low 70s, and I just never worry about res temps. I know they will be about the same as the room temp which is fine.

I find pH to be largely dependent on nutes. Some nutes seem to be more forgiving and some are better at keeping pH within a certain range. I use Humboldt Master A&B and they claim pH is fine anywhere from 5.5 to 7.2. Mine never gets to seven or much below 6. I check it daily but don't worry...

The key is whether it is truly air tight. I would store the mason jars in another air tight container. That way I would say 5 years is a cinch and 10 is possible. I would hesitate to go for 13 but who knows. Besides, after that long who can remember how good it was and how much it may have degraded?

If a leaf gets as much brown as green you may as well trim it. This is why I gave up on cfls, that and you have to keep moving them around and the plants stretch this way and that way to get to them - then burn.

A small tote based dwc in a closet where plants are kept rather short with a good amt of hps lighting and good care should produce 2 ox of dried bud per plant. If you become an artist and know your strain and all those other variables, I have personally seen 7 oz dry come off one plant.

I am an avid user of Humboldt nutes in my dwc, Master A&B. I haven't tried it, but Humboldt has a new line of organic nutes for hydro and I have heard nothing but good about them.
