So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

Rrog said that a lot of EWC is sterilized, this is the first time I have heard this. I know wiggle worm which is probably the most used store bought worm castings say they are not sterilized. I do know they use a lot of sand in their bedding which is just filler to make the bags heavier which I...

The best knockout stone I ever got was from a Spice Of Life Sweet Tooth I grew for a number of years. It put everybody who smoked it asleep within a half hour.

    new to organic, some questions

    1. I would let it cook < what you are doing is letting the microbes break down some of those nutrients so when you put a plant in it has readily available nutrients. 2. It won't hurt to add the lime and will keep you soil/soilless in the proper ph range. I would use dolomitic or calcitic lime...

    new to organic, some questions

Im not sure how the sub irrigation would work with the type of grow you were planning to do. Usually having your soil mix constantly wet will have bad results. I use soil that I amend and recycle and reuse it and I only water doing my grow. Here is what I add to my soil after each grow then I...

So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

I like roots over happy frog and ocean forest. I used to use ocean forest in my base but it has gone down hill over the years and they are using cheaper ingredients and I get gnats anytime I use now. For my base soil right now I am using Bag of each Roots potting soil - has in it bat guano...

Well I moved up here Nov. of last year so this batch has been going for a year before that the soil I was using lasted 3 years and now another grower is using it. The only thing I have changed since I started reusing my soil 4 yrs ago is now I add Azomite, Guano, and make tea. And my recipe came...

I plan on getting a generator at some point but its nice just being able to pull in the cool Michigan night air to cool my room the majority of the time without having to use an ac unit. I can't stand tanks it...

So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

Im all organic have been using reamended soil for the past 4 years. To answer your question about is organic better than inorganic the answer is it depends. When people say organic tastes better the real reason it tastes better is they are getting higher brix plants then they were with inorganic...

    Designing a New Grow Area

Well a 1000 watt will do a 4x4 to 5x5 space so lets say your using 4x4 for each 1000 and your doing your 1000s in a row then you would have 2ft on either side to walk and really no room on the ends to walk or at least 1 end if they are perpetual. What is your perpetual cycle going to be? Are you...

    Designing a New Grow Area

Does that come from experience cause I have been doing this for 12 yrs and never heard of anybody having trouble with their plants cause of low humidity. They will drink more water but I don't think that is a bad thing. The only time I have seen low humidity hurt a plant is when unrooted clones...

    Designing a New Grow Area

I have run veg plants in 30% humidity and seen no difference in growth. I have a friend who during winter his veg can get down to 10% humidity and he just mists his plants once a week and they do fine. I am not saying low humidity makes no difference just that most of the time it is not a...

Low humidity is rarely an issue in my experience. So I would not worry about raising it but in summer you will need to lower it at least in flower.
