Prescription eyeglasses/sunglasses for indoor growers? Any have good info?

I have worn the method 7s and the lumii's and they are both really nice in a grow room. I do think the 7s are better just not 125$ better. My friend has both 2 pair of method 7's for him and his wife and 2 pair of lumii's for guests. I keep on planning on getting a pair but always have something...

Prescription eyeglasses/sunglasses for indoor growers? Any have good info?

Don't get method 7s they are way over priced. Lumii Grow Room glasses do the same thing at a fraction of the price. http://www.amazon.com/LUMii-Grow-Room-Glasses/dp/B007RGY2LI/ref=pd_sbs_lg_2

what company has the best digital ballasts?

You can get adapters that will change them to the other type, they are like 11$. I would go with the sun system type if you cant find out what reflector cord type it is because I think that is the more universal cord type.

what company has the best digital ballasts?

I have a friend who works at a hydro shop and they test ballasts with various bulbs and of all the ballasts lumatek with lumatek bulbs had the best results. They did find that other ballasts worked better with hortilux bulbs then lumatek ballasts did but the lumatek with there own bulbs out...

    Elite genetics in michigan??

Lets get back to elite genetics. I have a few people I get elite cuts from but they are very picky on who they give them out too. For instance I am getting a Blue Dream clone and Grape Stomper clone next week and he won't give it to anybody else and asked that I not give it out either. The main...

    Elite genetics in michigan??

I would go with Mighty Wash or Captain Jacks Dead Bug Brew. You don't have a huge outbreak so no reason to get drastic yet just quarantine the plant that has it so they don't move to other plants. Everyone I know who has tried to use CO2 to get rid of them it doesn't work so I would not go down...

The OG 18 is a very good plant Great flavor and and they have pretty good yields. I have not tried Purple OG 18 yet but I have heard good things. I have also heard great things about the Strawberry Blue. So if I were you I would go with those 3.

My friend made this. He works at the shop in Lansing. He helped me make my 20 Gallon brewer.

So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

I made my own 20 gallon vortex brewer < I have no idea if it makes more microbes then just air stones but I have read the whirlpool effect adds more oxygen to the water then just air stones. I would never go and buy a vortex brewer though they are super expensive and I don't think they make that...

    LAbs and their results????

Well if you take the genetics of known strains Blue Dream, NYCD, Orange Bud, etc. and map and store all of the data then when you send them a sample they can verify if its really Blue Dream, NYCD, etc. They may also be able to tell you what the true parents of the cross were. What I imagine is a...

    Activated Carbon Furnace Filter

I use to use a ozone generator when I was doing an attic grow, it worked great but people are right when they say it is harmful to plants, animals and people it will also eat away metal over time. It is best to use them on the exhaust if you are exhausting directly outside and even then it it...

    new to organic, some questions

I am using both of those composts right now. It is great compost but you will need something else for the base cause those are straight compost. I would get a bale of peat or promix and add 25% of a bag of both those composts to 25-30 gallons of promix/peat You can also add coco to it. Here is a...

    new to organic, some questions

The fish compost should work good, I have never tried milorganite. And 55$ for a 50 lb bag of kelp meal is not that bad considering it will probably last you years.

Safe solvents in Michigan for Hash oil production

I use 190 proof everclear. I get it out of state when I need it. Then I use a water distiller to make it and recover the alcohol so I waste very little. I also like it because I know the solvent won't harm anyone if there are any traces left behind and because I'm distilling it there is very...

    Who Grows in Fabric Pots?

I use fabric pots, 1 thing I noticed and this is really with all pots is it is really easy to get dry spots in your soil. I think to get the most out of them people should really be using saucers underneath. As long as your letting your soil dry between waterings then giving them a really good...

    new to organic, some questions

Sounds like you got a good set of amendments when you go to the nurseries ask them if they know a good place to get local compost. Around here a lot of them make/sell there own but they should know where to get some either way.
