This was grown with CFLs, 3x42w cfl floodlight for canopy/main cola, 2 x 26w cfls with reflectors for sides...

I personally think a gallon pot for LR2s is prolly a lil excessive,i doubt theyd use all that space... I use 2.5 or 3L pots...Heres one of mine in a 3L pot so ya can see how they came out... plant is 18" tall,budding nicely,ready to chop in a coupla wks if all goes according to schedule..i uesd...

my bad,yes you can buy higher wattage bulbs, with the correct color spectrums for veg n flower. you might still wanna throw some cfls in there too.

yes 4 will work IF you use 42w cfls frowm wally world or home depot. use your light until you can get some 42watters...Make some DIY reflectrs(use the tutorial in DIY section) to cut down on light wastage.. 15w are a waste of time bro.. unles you got like 10 of em in there...even then 4 or 5...

i gotta say folks, my Lr2s dont smell a bit, well not unless ya rub the leaves/stems.. and theyre getting pretty big too...altho i do have another 20 days to go til they should be done... Havent heard much about Lr2s stinkin up real bad...unlike my keralas which are REALLY skunky:D But i'm not...

Possibly lighting...they sound like theyre poss stretched.. what are you using for light? Fans will help thicken the stems up a lil...

that all depends on all of the other conditions you grow under...Seed strain/growing medium/lighting/nutes/temp/ventilation and your experience. In theory you could veg a plant to 12" tall, change over to flowering light schedule during which time it will double in size, altho if your growing...

i prefer using an ionizer in my lounge...thats what theyre designed for, and they help kill any poss smells that might escape from the grow area upstairs.

lol... you guys are funny. Horses for courses i'm afraid...People will always think their system has its merits...which is true,each style of growing does...but those merits may not be advantageous to other growers in other circumstances.. Get over yourselves and lets get on with growing...

No worries bro... if you do use regular CFLs make sure you use a reflector of some description, there's a tutorial on DIY reflectors in the DIY section...Also try to ensure the bulbs are always an inch away from the foliage for the best results.. Good luck :)

Yes they will go into a normal light socket, Regular CFLs have a built in ballast and ignitor... only PLC 2pin or 4 pin CFL bulbs require an ignitor which is built into the reflector hood. My suggestion is to use regular cfls to start veg in whatever light sockets you can find...i prefer to...

right on mr limpet... get several daylight 6500k cfls of the highest wattage you can find at walmart or home depot for vegging... you'll get much better results.. altho these cfl security lights are pretty good for flowering if you change the bulbs to warm white... i'm using these cfl type...

Yeah bro wheres the update pics?? My lil Lo-lo's are fattening up real nice, just germing a new batch too..i got continuous harvest with these now..while i'm waiting for the other stuff to get nice n big :)
