Best alternative to Fish Fertizlier/Algae for indoor grows?

There are several brands offering good crtified organic nutrients. I've had good experience with BioBizz and General Hydroponics' General Organics range. I use liquid bat guano, algae, humic acid, worm castings and other goodies from such brands. Even the algae doesn't small that bad, and the...

    New grow room setup

The setup looks ok, but for two to three plants, you should definitely use a 150w HPS lamp at least. That setup is more suited for mother plants where you went to keep them in a vegetative state without necessarily ever flowering them, so lighting is not as vital.

Gavita Pro 600 lamp: anybody using one? experiences?

I'm just gonna go for the complete set. Less headache and temps shouldn't be a problem (getting a variable speed exhaust fan just in case). Apparently they still don't have plasma nor CMH here in Switzerland :-?

Looks like a lil' too much nitrogen and not enough phosphorus. On my grows, I use a pH of 6.2 at this stage of flowering.

Mag Deficiency Probs I Hope!! Need Help Bad Guys!!!!

Using distilled water is probably the cause. I know that tap water can bee too "hard" in some areas, but at least do a 50/50 distilled and tap water mix. Let the tap water sit out overnight so (some) chlorine can evaporate. Tap water contains a lot of minerals, including calcium.

Organic 400W Soil Grow: Maple Leaf, Candy Kush & Peace-Maker

Day 28 of 12/12 The canopy is definitely filling out. Thanks to the Swiss wintertime, I can keep the light pretty close to the top of the canopy. Temps are around 25C, humidity slightly low at 35%. The problem with a multi-strain grow is the different plant height of different...

    Green Mold?

The absence of light will kill it. You can cover the top of the pots with black plastic (like from a trash bag) with little holes to allow some aeration of the soil, while still depriving the algae of light.

    how to lower soil ph?

The problem with lemon juice is that the citric acid breaks down in the soil, and thus the pH lowering effect doesn't last.

    I was just wondering

Pure Sativas can flower for 16 weeks and more. Also, flowering starts when you see the first signs of flowering, not when you flip the lights to 12/12. Are some parts of the plant closer to being done than others?

Going a Trip, how long can plants live with minual sun?

If I understand correctly, you're moving them outdoors to indoors with limited light and no feeding? The dark will not kill them, but will really slow down any growth, though it could stress them to finish quicker maybe? I'd be more worried about going 10 days with no water. Doubt they can...

    how to lower soil ph?

DO NOT add dolomite lime. It will reduce acidity, i.e. increase pH. Flushing your soil with the correct pH solution should correct this.

    how to lower soil ph?

Depends on the pH. My tap water is around 7.6, and I use about two teaspons to a tablespoon, depending on whether I'm adding nutes or not. Just use the pH tester and gradually add.

    Deficiency or nutrient burn? confused..

7.1 is way too high in my opinion. Epsom salt will only make it worse as it is quite alkaline. To me it looks like certain nutrients are being locked out due to the high pH.
