AFAIK leaves are actually the energy source for further growth of buds at the end of the plant's life cycle. Once they're drained of energy they wither and fall off naturally.

Hey all, getting closer to harvest my first grow :weed: was wondering if anyone knew how long it typically takes for trichomes to change from milky to amber? I know this differs from strain to strain, grow to grow etc. but do they change from milky to amber faster than clear to milky...

***UPDATE*** Well it's been over 2 weeks since i started this thread and my babies still aren't ready. The buds have definitely filled up, but I still see new growth with white pistils. They've now been flowering (budding, not just 12/12) for 53 days and I'm getting impatient. Still no amber...

very true. My Bubble Gums (Sativa dominant) required less nutes than the Northern Lights cross. Definitely more sensitive.

I'd definitely go with the Homebox XL. I've honestly never heard of the Grow Lab, so I can't make a fair judgement, but from my research Homebox is the original and perhaps best option. I know that they DON'T use PVC lining for the interior which is toxic to the plants. A lot of other brands...

Not mediocre, just garbage. And it's not as if it flowers in 30 days or something that the flowering time is THAT short. There are lots of awesome strains that finish flowering in 50-55 days. Is that extra week or so worth compromising quality? Not for me, but to each his own.

no major odor problems at all. It smells just a little bit when you enter the room where the Homebox is placed, but that's it.

I'd giver her a proper dose of nutes every other watering.

I'm using a Homebox L with a 400w HPS and here's my advice: -ditch the cooltube. just get a parabolic reflector. -get a 6" inline fan with a carbon filter. -No need for intake fans, just keep the side flaps of the Homebox open and the pressure from the extractor fan will suck in cool air...

what kind of info on the Homebox L are you looking for?

Take a look at mr Nice's Critical Mass; a re-worked version of Big Bud. Big yields, good high, but no special taste/aroma.
