I've grown 7-8 footers in 5 gallon buckets, but they were a mostly sativa dominate plant.

depending when your last frost date is, you can put them out anytime after that. I like to harden my off first, before putting them out for good.

I do both, so to speak. I cut the bottom out of my pots and let the top of bucket protrude out of the ground a couple of inches. fill in with organic and have 7+ footers each and every year

anyone that would slam you for this info, is a perfectionist. MG is ok for growing, it's cheap and works. I used it all the time, but have since moved on to better organic stuff,but more expensive.

if you're putting them in the ground, I'd dig a hole 2' by 2' deep and fill it up with MG, doesn't matter how much or how deep and wide, that depends on you. you'll be just fine!:blsmoke:

What type of MG? garden soil/potting soil?? depending what your soil conditions are where you live,dig your holes fairly deep. MG is fine but get some that has time release ferts in them, beings you're just gonna water only when needed.

I do both, in ground and in pots. I usually dig a hole and put the pot in a couple inches above ground to secure it from toppling over. they don't dry out as fast either. I do prefer a large pot 20 gallon minimumn

we have to determine how many hrs of sunlight to vegatate. to little, will throw you plant into bloom 12/12. need to provide more than 12 hrs a day of sunlight, like 14-16 hrs a day or more, but we won't achieve that status until june or there abouts.

depending what hemisphere you're in. I'm in the northern and I will plant about 2nd week in may to avoid last frost and should harvest in latter part of september thru october

where in the world do we get 18 hrs. of natural sunlight? they will be fine with at least 5-8 hrs a day.
