ROCKWOOL is a medium. I use it through out my entire grow. I germinate, then put it in the rockwool and never transplant again. I use my own drip system and rockwool works the best and I cover the rockwool with panda film and it never gives me any problems.

I think your asking for problems with no fresh air. It is one of those essential things. Though now I think about it the plant does create it's own fresh air. Maybe it will work but I'll never try it.

I put a stick next to the plant and tie the plant above and below the bend. I take a little scotch tape and put it on the bend. Just a little insurance to make sure she is still able to transfer nutrients up the plant. Good luck
