Nice! I just upgraded to 600w hps myself from 400w...pretty happy with it so far. 2 600's will be great. Maybe look into getting a MH conversion bulb for your 400w if you plan on vegging with it. Or a balanced spectrum hps bulb. A standard hps bulb would work for vegging too though.

I only clone in soil. Fox Farm Light Warrior straight, sometimes mixed with extra castings, guano, and some Bio Bizz Light Mix. But I've had clones root in 5 days in straight Light Warrior... So yeah, should be fine.

I think the comments above are generally accurate...DWC/hydro can produce very large plants very quickly, but organic soil/soilless mixes produce buds with an expanded flavor profile. Are they better/more potent...probably not. Some people don't like getting dirt under their nails or dealing...
