i agree without seeing pictures i would say it was a nitrogen deficiency. if its starting at the tips working its way to the stem , it would moe likely be nutrient burn. a whole yellowing of the leaf and a similar rigidity to the leaf as a whole would lead me to say nitrogen defic.
