Take them away to put more energy into new growth rather than than sustaining them. Leave a couple leaf sets though. I don't usually cut them in half...I guess that has the same effect...

These WW are still a little young, but heres an idea. To TOP, just snip the whole top off leaving the two top internodes intact (haven't developed yet on this girl). This will cause the internodes to take off and act as two tops. To FIM (Fuck I Missed), snip it leaving about 1/4" or so of...

If you can safely remove those seed shells, do it a.s.a.p...they can cause the inital leaves to die without giving them a chance. It's a sad affair.

That system looks decent for vegging, but that's about it... It might pay off to invest in a seperate flowering system with enough head space and room for roots.

I don't use that POS, but am curious if there is ANYONE who has had success with flowering... Headspace seems to be limited, so if you plan on flowering with it I would like to hear of any success stories as well...

It's really a matter of preference. The longer you let it veg., the more potential clones you will be able to take. That was my basic opinion, and it's worked for me.
