    ADVANCED NUTES CONNIE W SUNSHINE# 4 QUESTION.HELP?

I've never had a problem adding a cup per 5 gallons. It is time released. The lime doesn't break down all at once. I add the cup to the original mix then top dress at flip to flower. My plants are in the 5 gallon pots about 4 months, and yes... With no lime and growing trees it gets way to...

    ADVANCED NUTES CONNIE W SUNSHINE# 4 QUESTION.HELP?

I've used sunshine 4 for 15 years... The only thing I add to it is dolomitic lime. One cup per 5 gallon pot. The peat gets acidic late in grows and the lime counteracts that. As far as having coco in it... I'd read the label again because my sunshine #4 has no coco... Sent from Northern Colorado.

    I gotta ph question

I mix it in the soil and top dress once when I flip to flower. So between those two things and a small amount of calmag once a week I have no problems and don't pH my water, which comes out of the tap at 7.4. If you have no dolo lime in the soil I would top dress a tablespoon per gallon of soil...

    I gotta ph question

You can add dolo lime to an existing pot. Just top dress it and water it in. It takes a couple weeks to begin buffering the soil. Next time mix it in before planting. I use a cup of dolo lime in 5 gallon pots. I grow in sunshine #4, very similar to promix. I also add a small amount of calmag...

    Suspend growth..

Cut light back and repot. Those 10 gallon pots should hold enough water for two visits. The plants will concentrate on root growth with the repot so above pot growth will slow anyways. Sent from Northern Colorado.

Plant deficiency help me diagnose please

Yes they'll have it at hydro shops. A huge 25 pound bag of agricultural dolo lime is like 20 dollars. And do foliar calmag to correct the problem in the short term. Sent from Northern Colorado.

Plant deficiency help me diagnose please

The dolomitic lime is time released. It won't fix your calmag problem overnight but will gradually buffer your pH over time. I usually add it by mixing it into my soil before planting and I top dress a few weeks into flower. Sent from Northern Colorado.

Well thanks! I like to be well rounded, to have the ability to make any grow work in lots of different conditions with lots of variance in equipment. Being stuck with one style is limiting I think. Every grow has its own challenges and expanded ones knowledge! Sent from Northern Colorado.
