I recently told a friend that's thinking of getting into growing cannabis to grow a tomato plant first. A lot less discouraging if you murder a tomato plant and you learn pretty much everything you need to know to grow pot.
I didn't learn much about basic horticulture and plant biology before I started growing. I had a good teacher when it comes to growing cannabis, but I pretty much just did things the way I was told. When things would go wrong I always had to ask him what was going on and how to fix it. In the...
You ain't lying. I've got a project bike I'm attempting (and mostly failing) to work on so I joined a motorcycle forum for some help. A full month on there and I can't even get a single answer on how to swap a damn swingarm.
I typically like to baby my clones until they are fairly strong. I don't typically expose clones to full sun light. You want them to focus on building a root system not throwing out leaves. How well rooted are they?
If you want em to get really big you'll want to transplant to a bigger pot. I haven't been able to grow outside for a long time, but when I did I used 100 gallon smart pots. And some people go much much bigger than that.
The only thing you can do if you have a short growing season is start them indoor. Putting a 3 to 5 ft tall plant with a well developed root system outside at the very beginning of your growing season is going to give you a massive head start and result in a much larger plant by the time they...
For future reference, I'd recommend doing some studying in regards to signs of plant stress and nutrient issues. For example, some elements are mobile in the plant, some are not. This affects where the deficiency starts on the plant and how it tends to progress. Just know which element is...
P.s. my pack is designed to output 4800 watts to an electric motor, but under that kind of load it's only good for a few hours of use. If you kept the draw around let's say 500 watts you'd get quite a bit more .
My pack is built with headway 38120hp cells. 64 of them. I believe my total cost for the batteries was about $1000 plus another couple hundred for the battery management system (BMS). If you configured the pack for 54 volts rather than 48 and had a decent BMS you may be able to set it up to run...
I actually have a battery pack that could run some lights for awhile and I can tell you that those sad, underpowered strips and some AAs ain't going to do shit. Each cell in these packs has a maximum continuous output of well over 100 amps, 10 ah battery life and are 3.2 volts nominal. It is...
That's actually not a bad idea. Would allow me more input control. Unfortunately my experience with coco is sooo limited. I've been pretty much exclusively a soil or DWC/rDWC for so long that learning a new medium seems daunting to me.
That sounds like a pretty plausible explanation. Years ago when I used it exclusively it seemed more consistent. Also seemed to test lower. I remember my mixture of ffof and happy frog coming out to a comfortable 6.2 to 6.5 pretty much every time.
Thanks man. I'll keep on her and if it becomes a losing battle after a couple weeks I will probably think about transplanting her to some different soil. Sucks because I used to get such consistent result with this formula.
She isn't all that big yet. Think is on her 4th or 5th internode but she is short and squat. Unfortunately I just transplanted her out of her solo cup 5 days ago so I don't want to uproot her again already. Figure I'll use what I have to try and get it down and if she is still being bitchy in...
Think that'll be enough? Be nice if it was! Just worried about the soil buffering back up to where it is now or close to it. I'm no expert on soil chemistry by any stretch, but I had a really tough time getting it to stay where i wanted it last time this happened. I'll give it a whirl and see...
I have a fairly nice meter that I used to double check the results. They match. Slurry test and the meter both report 7.7-8.0. I appreciate the heads up though!
Hey all. Been a bit since I've been on. Anywho, I wasn't planning on growing until after I move in December, but I got bored and my jars are a little light so I decided to run a quick single plant grow in my 2x2.
Didn't want to wait for a new batch of soil to cook so I went back to my old...
As long as you close it all up when the lights are off during flowering it won't hurt the plants. You also won't be able to do much about odor control unless you're filtering the entire room the tent is in, but perhaps smell is not a concern in your case.
