A friend of mine was telling me about a new soil mix hes been using. a very simple concoction of 3 different pre mixed bags of soil from the local shop. My friend has much more experience than I do, so I should really take his word at most things. But I asked him If I should cook up this mix...
You'll never be able to do an inline fans job with a box fan. Not trying to sound like an ass, but if you do things the right way, instead of the cheap way, you will be much more successful
A real dehumidifier is going to be expensive because of what they do and the components required. I would suggest spending a decent amount at a hardware store for a real dehumidifier. Personally, I bought a large whole home dehumidifier from april aire for about $1,200. Works really well. and it...
I've spent a lot of time on google, and yielded very little results on the subject. It's hard to tell one coco from another in terms of quality. I see a lot of coco loco at my local hydro shop, but after reading all the ingredients it looked more like soil than coco? I think I would prefer...
I'm not sure about conversion factors. https://dyna-gro.com/feed_chart/ This is Dynagro's feed chart from their site so this is the info im going off of. I'm not quite as high as their levels yet. Yesterday when I decided to bust out my ppm meter and see just exactly how much food I have been...
To anyone who may have been following my threads in the last couple weeks knows i've been having deficiency issues. I just measured my ppm's for the first time, to realize that I've only been feeding about 250 ppm of food in flower. I think the poor girls are starving? 1.5 mL per gallon of DG...
They do, but I imagine any flying insect is probably going to do laps when disturbed. I'm going to go and see if I can find them on the plants now, Haven't seen any yet. Going to start a spray regiment just in case.
Do you know how I can confirm thrips? I've checked the plant but im not seeing any signs of insect on the leaves or buds.
I looked them up on Grow weed easy but I haven't noticed any of those symptoms. I will stay alert though.
I will do my best to take some, but I have a feeling they won't show up on cam. They are the smallest flying big I've ever seen. I literally mistook them for dust
Anyone familiar with something thats smaller than fungus gnats? They look like tiny little white specs of dust. I literally they they were dust until I got my microscope out. They dont seem to be attracted to my sticky traps. Trying some apple cider vinegar next. I've already sprayed the tops of...
Thank you everyone for chiming in. I will reiterate in case there was any confusion:
2 parts Sunshine advanced #4
1 part Charged Peat
1 part EWC
1 part chunky perlite
I also added about 1 cup per 5 gallon pot of pelletized dolomite lime.
Update: So this morning I gave them a good flushing with Guano company's Budswel compost tea, the water went in at about 6.5 and came out at about 6.4 People are always telling me to check my run off, but im not all too sure what I'm looking for when I do it. Now I can just wait and see how they...
Would you recommend a soil like roots organics or ocean forest to someone like me? This is not the first of my threads that you've helped me out in. I frequently have some issue or another. I amended the crap out of my SSA#4 trying to avoid issues like this, and got them anyways. I'm pretty knew...
Thank you for the super helpful info guys. Im going to give a good watering with a compost tea and begin raising the ph of my water.
should I water with a high ph like 7 to raise the medium? or just move it up to 6.5ish?
Since when does overwatering turn bottom leaves brown?
Very unlikely. 5 gallon pots vegged for about 5 weeks. only on week 2 of flower.
Good info here. Im not confident in my ability to transplant a plant this large. Their easily 5'. And in 5 gallon pots, I dont like to go any larger than...
Too much water? Not a chance. It's a peat/coco mix with a lot of perlite added. I water about 1 - 1.25 gallons per 5 gallon fabric pot, every 3-4 days. Flushing with ph'd water every 3 weeks or so.
I appreciate the input, anything helps. But I would be shocked if it were nitrogen. all of my...
I'm not typically that asshole who drags out threads, but I REALLY need some help here guys. I dont think i mentioned the deficiency starts at the bottom, and is very slowly working its way up. (not so slowly on the 1 stunted plant I had)
