If you went right from the vegetative nutes and immediately rolled over to flower it's probably from that. I'm a beginner but that looks like a good old fashioned nitrogen deficiency. I personally use a high nitrogen formula all the way through flower. I would suggested feeding a 50/50 formula...
I've got some small clones. Typically I wait a week or two only giving ph'd water and transplant into a light feeding medium and start using liquid nutes 2-3 weeks later. However, I'm thinking bout adding in some of the additives before I start feeding. I'd like to start with a silica and a root...
It's not just you. Most people who use grow with bloom use grow a few weeks into flower to avoid yellowing. I have no clue how people are getting away with bloom only. But I have heard other growers say that they CAN use bloom the whole way through but yield was affected negatively by skipping...
Also interested in this thread. I have purchased both the maxi series as well as dynagro FP. I have had decent results with maxi. but I am a novice. I'm scared to try dynagro after a few bad runs due to root problems.
I want to get a bag of EWC to add a little organic food into my mix. Anyone see any issues mixing in say 20-30% EWC into Sunshine advance #4? For anyone unfamiliar with that bag it is mostly peat with some mycor and coco.
I have heard that DG makes a good product available all in one bottle. But what confuses me is that I thought having more nitrogen in the flower cycle was really bad for flower production? I wonder how that works. but I have seen great pictures from users like homebrewer.
I will learn to compost in the future. I will eventually make my own soil. As for right this moment its a bit expensive to just pick up and do, and I have no idea what my ratios should be. For the time being I think my time is better served going artificial.
I've grown mostly with the GH maxi series. It did alright. I'm still a mediocre grower and I understand that any pro will get good results from most nutrient lines. but i'm looking for something simple for those of us still developing our green thumb.
Right now im growing in SS advanced #4...
It's expensive and expansive. Not magic. These are user errors mostly. A solid nutrient line is available from most brands. I just don't know too much about them

Plant started showing the signs of rusting you see above a couple of weeks after their first transplant. But I do not think it was caused by the soil itself. I've tossed 2 of my last batches with this exact issue. Im pretty convinced that it was the slime on my air stones / bucket to be honest...
I've never seen over watering cause fan leaves to start turning rust colored and die off. I am a novice, but even if that were possible I wouldnt be overwatering them that bad. I wait about 3 days to water.
There was a bit of "slime" in my water res i noticed a few days ago. cleaned the shit out of it. Could that be my cause? It wasn't algae but it was slimey.
I'm going to be transplanting again this weekend. But I dont see how they could be hungry. They were transplanted into 1 gallon of charged soil 13 days ago.
Doesn't that sound a bit unusual? i thought they were just getting a tad of burn.
edit: 6.5 water ph. media is roots organics original soil
