I personally prefer rDWC, but standard DWC is good too. Just three things you cannot ignore with any kind of hydro... pH , the oxygen content of your water, and water temp. If you let any of those variables get out of control for any length of time and things can get very bad very quickly.

Keep in mind that if you shut off your extraction fan your carbon filter stops doing its job. If you don't want other people smelling your grow my advice is to leave it on.

I always ran autos in 3 gallon pots, but that was 3+ years ago and it seems like autos have gotten bigger in general since then. I'd say you would be safe with a 5 gallon fabric pot, but perhaps someone with more recent experience will chime in.

In a 3 gallon you will be topping off a lot when the plant gets big. My last run with rDWC my biggest plant would drink well over half of it's bucket's 2.8 gallon capacity in 36 to 48 hours.
