hi everybody, been loving the herb for a couple years, finally decided to grow

welcome to riu. sounds like a solid plan. you don't need a second flower area - it's more efficient to use one flowering area and have multiple generations in the same space. just put the younger ones on top of something so that their tops are at the same height as the older generation. you...

White Widow, Pineapple Chunk, C - Train, and BagSeed Grow! + LST

everything's still looking great - keep it up. you can veg anytime you want. better to get the light sooner than later to work out any ventilation issues you might get with the hotter lights. pull your plants out of the grow space and make sure you have a stable system before you risk your...

1000w HPS too big for this space?

yes. you're at 14,500 lumens per square foot which is way more than the plants can use - more like 7,000 to 10,000 lumens per square foot. you would get significant light bleaching and would have a hell of a time cooling the light. a 600 watt light would give you 9,500 lumens per square foot...

    DR100 Ventilation questions

    1. are you venting your ac outside the tent? if not, changing this will fix your cooling. even if you are venting, if it's a single hose a/c then it is extremely inefficient and may not do the job in the summer. 2. you have to have an exhaust for the tent, with or without your carbon filter...

    Electricity Bill Question???

First "real" grow...DoinIt2Gether and doin it right (hopefully)

there's a lot of confusion around this, mostly because of different definitions of when flowering starts. if you count from the start of 12/12, then 8 weeks is faster than average. if you count flowering from the start of budding then 8 weeks is probably close to average.

    sufficent lighting?

you have about 13,000 lumens which is maybe even a little overkill for a single autoflower. if anything, i'd swap out one of your 42 watt 6500k's for a 42 watt 2700k

Greenhouse / Lighting question... Need some expert advice

if you lived here in the desert, i wouldn't be concerned about the light loss at all. in northern california it might be a different story, but you'll still have more light than most indoor grows. you won't get any stretching at all because there won't be a point source of light for the plant...

    600w hps grow room heat!

that cool tube is depicted as including the cord from the ballast to the socket. if so, it's very likely the standard male-end as shown in pic. your ballast should have a female end identical to the pic.

    A few questions???

you're going to need a lot more than one 1000 watt light if you want a grow that big. you have about 145,000 lumens from that light which is good light for 18 square feet at 8,000 lumens per square foot. some people say you can cover 5x5 with a 1000 watt light but you're only at 6,000 lumens...

Anybody Want To Double Their Yield?- Desertrat's Top and Prune?

this is exactly why you repeat experiments and encourage others to try to duplicate your results as well. a consistently repeatable result is because of circumstances while a single instance could be the result of anything. so far, i've personally seen this technique work twice, and hope to...

are you using daytime for your lights out? what are you using for ventilation? you should at least have one fan sucking air out of your box. but about the best you can do is + five degrees f compared to your room air temp. you can feed diluted nutes anytime after a plant is a few weeks old...
