    Help! bugs in my dirt!

im looking for all the info I can find but maybe im not googling the right words. The only thing I found of relevance to identifying spider mites vs the other is the another thread on RUI posted last year. a thread in which you chimed in on.

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

I checked the leaves on the plant that had the most infested soil. I only saw maybe one or two on some leafs near the bottoms (bottom leaves are where I should be looking right?) but I didn't see anything on my bigger leaves near the middle or top. Another friend of mine said cayenne added to...

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

I took it to my favorite hydro shop, and the guy tells me that he isn't sure what they are, but he thinks they are too big to be spider mites.

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

I know its not a great pic, but i had to de-magnify in order to take a clear picture, sorry guys this is the best i could do. edit: I found one or two on a leaf near the bottom of the plant, compared to the shitload that are in the soil / crawling around the pot.

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

they look exactly like that, except pure white. But spider mites also look similar. I will keep a very close eye on the leaves for chew holes and webs. But im leaning towards these. Im reading another thread about them on RIU right now. Someone said that if they dont have prey bugs to eat they...

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

Im not necessarily saying that they are ONLY in the soil, but thats the only place I could spot the little bastards. They are extremely small. edit: holy shit I think you are right. I googled it, and I think this might actually be it. If its not spider mites, it is definitely these. but they...

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

I can see what it is clearly. im 95% sure its spider mites, the 8x lets me see it just fine, but the picture never comes out well. Assuming we're talking spider mites, what can I do to get rid of them asap? I've heard ladybugs are good, I just sprayed what my friend recommended to me, neem oil...

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

Not organic, I use fox farm ocean forest. After looking at a pest identification sheet, they look an awful lot like these spider mites, but the mites i see are usually red/brown. these are white. I had to magnify at least 4x or up to 8x to see them well on the picture, but it always came out...

    Help! bugs in my dirt!

So I just went upstairs to water, and in a couple of my pots I noticed an assload of bugs just crawling around my dirt. I try to be very careful about not walking through grass and going in my room, I usually even remove footware before going, and I sprayed some neem oil just a couple days ago...

Does hanging to dry create a dank stank?

Well, that seems a little exaggerated. I use to do some harvesting for a caregiver friend of mine. Lots of plants, but you had to be in the driveway to smell it. 12 plants of og or something like that.

Does hanging to dry create a dank stank?

I may have made an oopsy and not considered my drying place well enough. I was going to hang in my room until i found out that some plants will need to be harvested before others. Now I'm trying to not make my downstairs wreak, but I don't think I have any place I can hang upstairs. How bad does...

Heat issues, need a cheap way to DIY duct some heat out

Not sure what you mean by that last part, but I have a 600 watt hps/mh adjust-a-wing hood setup in a small bedroom, I'd like to bring it down just a few degrees

Heat issues, need a cheap way to DIY duct some heat out

Hook that up to a dryer hose and have it act as the exhaust itself? the booster fans im seeing are only rated for about 500 cfm or so. Isn't that a little on the low end? or is that just how exhaust is?

Heat issues, need a cheap way to DIY duct some heat out

I came across a thread about a week ago, that (if memory serves correctly) had appeared to be a 6-8inch fan, that looked like it was maybe duct taped to a dryer vent to run a cheap DIY exhaust. Does anyone know where I can find that thread? Or know a little more about doing something of that...

Window fans and blocking out light

I need a way to cool the room down when the AC isn't pumping. I was thinking of getting a nice window fan. maybe something like this? www.homedepot.com/p/Lasko-16-in-Electrically-Reversible-Window-Fan-2155A/100405673 But its not exactly built for my window. I can probably make it work, but does...

    Simple way to reduce heat?

honestly the clip fan doesn't sound like a horrible idea, Or maybe i'll just get a second fan and aim it at the hood?

    Simple way to reduce heat?

thats good to know, but I dont really think its going to get any cooler when I flip into flower, unless I do something.

    Simple way to reduce heat?

I dont really see how one can run "too much light". Im starting with 6 clones, may move up to 8. I have a 600w system, though my ballast is set to "super lumens" one click ahead of 600w. maybe i should turn it down to 600? If i could cool it just 4 or 5 degrees i'd be happy. maybe i should try a...

    Simple way to reduce heat?

I have an "adjust-a-wing" reflector that has no cooler or anything like that. Even with the central air running, my room is sitting at 81 degrees at plant level. Im thinking about taking my reflector back and seeing if i can get an air cooled one. Are they difficult to set up? All I would need...

    Simple way to reduce heat?

So i got my clones last night, got everything all setup. but holy crap does that light make it hot. Whats a simple cost effective way to bring the room down a few degrees?
