I like it, it only uses 35 watts. I'd buy the S6 if I bought it again not T6 like I have. I don't use the controller. If you have temp issues I suppose it might be helpful to have one. I have humidity issues and it doesn't control the fan based on humidity only temp.

Couple things that work... #1 pine bark mulch on top. #2 Drying out medium before watering. #3 Mosquito pucks. All of these will work for organic grow. If you don't start doing one of these methods problem will grow quickly. It's not really a big deal if plants are mature. They attack the roots...

I'd give them at least 7-10 days in those pots and up pot to 1 1/2 or so. Then up pot again before flip to 5 gallon.

general rule is 18 inches but your particular light will have manufactures suggestions and I would us those. I ran my mars hydro TS 3000 at 18 inches from tallest part of canopy.
