hey dude i'm not sure about the tea but as for the clone i root mine in rockwool then into net pots then into the bubbler and i've heard the peat pellets can drop in your res and clog it but never had exp with this as i use rockwool and i have the water at the bottom of the net pot till roots...

you will know when there done as the calyxes will swell the hairs will start changing colour and receeding back into the calyxe and your leaves will have a golden glow but i would say another week to ten 10 days
