Lol it is not weak for a 4x4. You'll probably have to dim it most of the time. I know this isn't the best way to calculate light but 500 watts of some of the most efficient lighting is more than enough

Like any other piece of electronics, they also run more efficiently when they are cool. Putting a cover would limit airflow. I don't see any issue with LEDs being exposed. If it passes UL then I guess it's fine

Maybe. Efficiency is about the same but the rapid setup being modular is a big advantage imo. Fluence is nice but I find it hard to justify the price

It all depends what you get. For example Vero 29C cobs can be run over 100 watts and still push out 160 lm/w making it affordable and efficient. That being said, you pay for it anyways seeing as you need active cooling.
