the hydro guy was right. some pen types do only have 1 point calibration which means the accuracy is pretty loose. use the 7 solution since you are looking for numbers in that range.

Sometimes just re-positioning the power cable to the lamp can minimize the problem. Also check that the modem connection has an RF filter. My DSL coming in requires the use of a filter, without it I get lots of line noise.

I've used carbo load, sweet and molasses in a side by side comparison on "the church" by GHS and not a big difference between them besides price. I will stick with molasses no pun intended.
