Lots of questions, I'll try and answer a few. I use Fox farms soil and it does a great job, so do the nutes. DO NOT feed for about 4 to 6 weeks, there are plenty of nutes in the soil. Lights; T-5's and cfl's are good for seedlings and fresh clones. The 400 watt setup you have is a good start...

I just harvested an autoflower, got an ounce. Low yeilds but fast grow, usually 60 to 80 days from seed to harvest, depending on strain of course. If you go auto, I recomend using lights 24/7, they love the lights.

Never made it myself, but I want to. I've read the same as you have, an oz to every pound of butter, OR 4 ounces of cured trimmings, stems, etc, to a pound. Gonna try making a quarter pound of butter soon and see how it comes out.

Should have read the directions. Since you're new to using nutes, everything should be accurately measured. Hard to say how much you gave your plants, a few pinches, in a half watered down pint, diluted 10% more, is not good info if you're looking for help. Not tryin to be a dick, it's just hard...

Nope! this cola is one of the shortest ones on the plant. I thought it was burnt too, but it's nowhere close enough to the light for that to happen.

This girl is going into flower in 3 days. Sorry for the bad pics, not a photographer. She has 11 colas, and only this one looks like this. I thought at first it was just coloring from the strain, Blue widow, not so sure now. There is some purple in there, and the rest is brown and shriveled up...
