i have always thought norther lights was sativa dom, i started a run and popped a FMS northern .. the leafs are FAT i mean like my indica's now i'm super curious on flower time. has anyone ran these before?

remember the on your CFL bulbs go by the actual wattage .. usually the 100w are only 23w actual ... try to find some 42w 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower .. they are around 10 bucks each .. keep them close a few inch's away and use alot of em .. as many as ya can honestly.

go with a 400 watt HPS, you can use it for the whole grow. if HPS good enough for uncle ben then why not cause he knows his shit big time!

why not germ your seed the way nature designed them to be germed? plant em about a 1/2" deep and water once good and leave em be .. i have better luck that was than paper towel method, i don't like to disturb them once they start to do their thing.

is your HID have a inline fan system to cool it? .. in that size room its gonna be a must have .. i use a 485cfm 6" inline going through my hood .. my temps run about 78 to 80 with lights on and like 70 with em off ... try to run a fan blowing right on the light at a upward angle if you're using...

ya want your carbon scubber/ intake in the bloom cab, in order to handle the odor it has to be in there. the order ya wanna run your gear is filter - fan - light - exhaust, you will have less velocity on the intake side of the fan so the scrubber can do a better job of odor control. edit: what...

i have a 150hps in a 2x2x4 veg. cab .... i use 2 11" box fans for intake and exhaust, my temps stay around 80 to 84 depending on ambient temps. the intake is at floor level and the exhaust is light level ..
