It definitely pays off to do a couple "trial runs", I did 2 grows on the extreme cheap and bagseed and learned a ton. Also got some pretty decent bud both times

there is a kit from Technoflora called recipe for sucess, it is a good kit for a new grower. Comes with everything and will only run you about 30 bucks. I used it quite a few times and it seems to produce nicely.

if you absolutely must use MG which I have with quite good results, use MG MOISTURE CONTROL, its actually not terrible but it WILL burn weak plants

invest in a carbon filter or fan/filter combo if you are in an apartment and good soil, miracle grow is ok but you'll be glad you spent the extra 20 bucks on some good stuff. I use an organic blend from my local supply store. The rest of what you are planning sound pretty good for a few plants...

how big of pots are you using b/c i had a similar problem which as it turned out was my containers were too small and the plant was rootbound...i re-potted and it was fine but its risky re-potting during flower..how long into flower are you b/c the leaves WILL start to die towards the end of the...

that would be enough light for like 2 or 3 plants...u could flower more under it but it almost wouldnt be worth it...just as a comparison i did 2 plants under 9 cfls and they were still starving for light

by veging with this light all he will get is a severely stretched tree flowering from seed will keep it shorter and allow that light to do more good
