    Bubbleponics vs Waterfarm

Have you considered just adding more air to the res you currently use? I'm just not sure why you would want to replace water/rootspace with hydroton. More mess, cost, hassle, fungus/pest risk, and less rootspace. If you want to maximize oxygen availability to a plant, do one of 2 things...

    Bubbleponics vs Waterfarm

Regardless of terminology, I agree that a drip ring is useless in any form of DWC. I've used it, turned it off on 4 of my 8 sites, and saw no root or foliage difference after a month. Disconnected the rest and haven't looked back. You already have the roots sitting in solution. What exactly do...

    hanna hi 98129 ph meter

I've had no issues with my 98129. Like mentioned above, rinse it when you're done, keep it clean and stored properly, and calibrate it every so often(I do once a month, use my meter about twice a week). I've replaced my pH probe once now, and the meter is over a year old.

    Bubbleponics vs Waterfarm

Bubbleponics is just another name for DWC where the roots are submerged and the water is aerated. The waterfarm has the drip ring and is designed to contain roots mostly in the hydroton, and the res water underneath gets aerated via the drip ring. I ran a water farm 8-pack for a bit, now use a...

So I listened to people on RIU about flushing....And this happens..

Thats all I ever really get at in these debates. The plant doesn't 'pull' nutrients from the calyx. Where would it need it more than its reproductive organ? The LAST thing to lose the nutrient/chlorophyll would be the calyx, and the plant would have nearly died before that happens. The reason...

So I listened to people on RIU about flushing....And this happens..

Good to know, thanks. I'll completely change my life path because you don't like when people use information to validate their arguments instead of quarreling like a schoolgirl. And I actually do think I AM plenty qualified, moreso than half the people here obviously since theyre too busy...

Couldnt agree more in principle, however you can't experience your way into researching and discovering microscopic processes that HAVE to be measured. It doesn't just take knowledge, education, or experience. It takes the logistical means to measure what's happening, and the proper procedure...

ALready did. You're up bud. And if you still doubt what I say, ask the people that ran the experiments I referenced what their qualifications are. Like I already said, you dont have to take my word for what I say. I provide references. Crazy concept.

So I listened to people on RIU about flushing....And this happens..

Not aside from informal education(several hundred hours of reading FACTS, not forums), which is why i reference other people's work who DO have proper qualifications. I'm a physical therapy grad student with a bs in bio, so I took my botany, biology, chemistry, and physics courses to understand...

Seriously, fuck learning right?? Being ignorant and ranting around forums is waaay better of a life choice.

Jeez ninja, you too now? I was just about to complement you on that basil plant and continue the discussion with you, but now youre gonna try to attack a post that wasnt even directed at you because you dont understand what you believe is my??! "socalled botany" but want me to dumb it down? You...

Still waiting on you to provide FACT that supports your stance. Dont really care about your personal experiences. Dont really care about mine either. Those "top authors" you refer to aren't even 1/100 as credible as the peer-reviewed information I'm talking about. If you don't understand basic...

So I listened to people on RIU about flushing....And this happens..

I grow basil in both soil and soilless media, and have never come across bad tasting basil. I use chemical ferts in my soilless and used to do a supersoil mix but now just use chem ferts in soil too. They're also perpetual harvest plants without a harvest/ripe season, so I dont understand how...

And I genuinely hope you learn to read before you decide to teach. Kind of important to be able to read those pesky "werdzz" if you want to be able to prove somebody wrong instead of calling names and throwing a tantrum to try and deflect the conversation.

The difference is that some of us refer to proven biology of how a plant works. Others use rhetoric and a single uncontrolled result as fact.

Its about transport methods in a plant, something you obviously don't know much about. If you did, you wouldn't be blindly defending flushing without any information to back yourself. Knowledge is power

Ok so now youre saying the ever-trustworthy nute companies do unbiased lab studies with a control group to prove that flushing works. Link please?
