Got 7 plants in 12 litre hempys. They are doing well. Much easier to feed than normal pots too. Can't see myself going back to normal pots or air pots anytime soon.

Thanks all, there is a lot of useful info here. I'm going to do the 1st 2 plants just water. But I'm also going to start feeding 2 of the other 4 plants again until before harvest. Seems removing the fan and sugar leaves is a popular way.

Anybody here hang the plants? Do you remove fan leaves, fan leaves + sugar leaves, or nothing?

Just because I'm feeding plain water for the last week doesn't mean I have overfed my plants. I feed at around 600ppm, 700ppm maximum. Plus I also feed just cal mag at about 150ppm 1 in 3 feeds to help it use the nutes in the coco so I don't get build up. They are happy. Still I'm an old...

@budman111 Whether you feed nutes or not, would you harvest a plant that dry and about to wilt? or would you feed it to maybe give it enough water to help break down the chlorophyll?

I know some people choose to feed feed nutes right up until harvest. I'm not one of those people. That is not what I need to know. I like to know plain water has been given to the plant for a week.

So if a plant was about to wilt, or the lower leaves were just starting to wilt you wouldn't hesitate to chop then?

I flushed my plants with 1/4 strength nutes, then have had them on plain water for 1 week so far.

My plants will dry out after 24 hours since their last hand watering. My questions are... 1. Do I water my plants just before I harvest? 2. Does the plant need water to break everything down? 3. What happens if you harvest a plant that's about to wilt?

I think your problem is you are not getting enough run off and maybe feeding a bit high. In veg I stay around 600ppm tds. Try feeding them twice as much feed. When you feed them say a gallon, wait 20 minutes for old nutes to dissolve, then feed them another gallon. That will help. 12 hours ish...

Ok thanks. It has only happened when using silica. I do add that 1st and I mix it with a jug until it's thoroughly mixed up.
