"Cap and Trade" Bill voted on tomorrow.

And kept your country safe too! You're wrong about what the affect will be. The American economy is one of consumerism mostly, and production as well. Care to brag about all the leading Canandian exports in a comparo? LOL. The impact of this will be felt WORLDWIDE. Traditional American...

    Need recommendation

Go to Air-n-water.com . They have some of the best units, and they do a great job in comparing models/efficiency. http://www.air-n-water.com/compare/portable-air-conditioners.htm

"Cap and Trade" Bill voted on tomorrow.

The worst part is, now that the asshole/"comedian" has been named the 60th Democratic Senator, the Dems now have enough votes for a filibuster proof majority. This country is in for THE WORST changes in modern history! It's honestly dumbfounding to think that there are so many people that...

TOO hot in my room. please help

Get a portable AC unit. 8,000 btu should work well enough for only two 400s. If you plan to change to larger, or more powerful lights later on though, make sure to get a 10,000 btu unit or larger.

    Reputable website to buy lights?

I'd highly recommend Growco out of Michigan. Their website is www.4hydroponics.com

conflicting info on light coverage area!

8 X 8 is the maximum light coverage area with a 1000W, and if you try to use only one light for that area, your buds will not be big and dense. I'd say 5 X 5 is the most you should try for, but ideally, you should be going for 4 X 4.

    The Ice Box how to

Fuck, having to run central AC is a bitch. Have you looked into a portable AC? The way I see it, you'll save about 250 watts over a portable AC able enough to cool the room, but you will save yourself the trouble of having to plumb air ducting for your lights. Did you say your lights would be...

    The Ice Box how to

Are you in NorCal? If so, cruise on over, and I'll show you how it all is working, or BARELY working is more like it. The fact that my chiller isn't strong enough to keep the resevoir cool the entire time the lights are on is the main issue. If it did, I would have the OPTION to exhaust or...

    The Ice Box how to

You are absolutely right about the chiller. The res temp rises as the the first 6 hours of lights on, and then goes back down when ambient temperatures go down from the cooler night air. I definitely would've been better off with a 1/2 hp unit. Temperatures reach a high of 84 on the hottest...

    The Ice Box how to

No, I do not use Co2 injection. I have a constant flow of fresh air coming in and being exhausted out. The last couple of days have been brutally hot here, (around 100) and I run my lights at night. I close off the intake fan at 5am and let the fresh air intake be an AC vent in the room...

    The Ice Box how to

You pump cold water into the radiator (icebox) and blow the hot exhaust air from your light on it with an attached circular fan. The air that comes out is colder than what would normally be, and you don't have to run air ducting somewhere/somehow out of the room. The catch, is that you need a...

how can i cheaply aerate my water?

Just get an air pump/stone- problem solved. The other idea of recirculating the water would work perfectly too. Just make sure the pump doesn't add too much additional heat to the res temperature.

    Doctor Chronic new policy

Yes, same thing happened to me. I placed an order with a gift card and they wrote an email back saying they had to cancel my order because they don't take American credit card/debit orders anymore. Btw, I'm still looking for Mental Floss seeds from Chimera seeds.

    is my light too big?

The industry standard says that for every 3 X 3 area, use 600W. I'd say your choice was perfect. A 1000W light is supposedly enough for a 4 X 4 area. I've always had mine on movers though.

    The Ice Box how to

I would definitely NOT recommend diagram 4 as a setup choice. The amount of cfm loss would be too much to gain any significant amount of heat dissapation.

Parabolic Reflectors Please Tell Me What You Think

I used a parabolic reflector for different uses. Mainly, I used it to save money on power when I first put the plants into the flowering room but weren't quite ready to start flowering. What I mean is, they still had a week or two (I usually topped my plants) to go before 12/12 so I just...
