How much water for smart pots.

I'm in California too and we are in the midst of a run of 100+ degree days and I've had to water the fabric pots every day. I have hay all around the root balls and even some plywood blocking the direct sun, and they are still sucking gallons.

I think I got balls on this one

Hard to tell from the fuzzy pics, and it's still early but I agree that those three might be sacs. Still have time to determine for sure, so don't worry just yet. Give it a few days to develop and come back with clear pics and we can probably get you a good answer.

How much water for smart pots.

This can be a little tricky in fabric pots. If you have compaction of the soil, you'll see runoff almost immediately because the water flows to the edges and starts to go out through the fabric. I've seen others here call this "umbrella effect". Water running out, but not much reaching the root...

    Are Rec Prices dropping nationwide?

$11.00/gr for any strain at my local shop here in Central California. Can't complain.

Single cola vs lst topping and fim

Lots of options, but I wouldn't bend so low. If it were mine, I'd bend where the leader starts to separate itself from the fuller part of the plant and probably leave the rest alone. Severely bending the top will stimulate growth throughout and beef up the rest. Maybe pinch the other leaders if...

Single cola vs lst topping and fim

Judging the thickness compared to your arm in the picture, it looks very doable. Pinch hard where it starts to get leggy till you feel the fibers crush, and while still pinching, bend the top back and forth until it gives.

Single cola vs lst topping and fim

This is what I would do. Pinch and bend until you can get it horizontal, then stake it there. All the shoots along that stem will get good and fat.

How long ago did you top it? Just looks like a bud that broke dormancy.

    A little trichome help?

Those flowers still have quite some time to go. Lots of life in those pistils.

    A little trichome help?

Absolutely! I recently figured out that for about $70 I can grow (outdoor) what I need for a year and have leftovers to share, whereas buying my meds would cost $1200-1500 in my area. Since I love all aspects of gardening, it's perfect.

    Is this Indica or Sativa?

Can be tricky with all the hybrids available and pheno variances within strains, but I agree that this one looks mostly sativa.

    A little trichome help?

30% amber is fine. And so is 40%, and so is 50%. You'll get tons of conflicting opinions and learn little, unfortunately. You can judge from the overall appearance of the buds too, so if you put up close and CLEAR shots of some of them we might be able to help. Don't stress over the trichs...

    First harvest and very happy!

Congrats man. Glad it worked out well for you. Enjoy, and start planning the next one.

    bending

Hard to say from brief description, but it will probably be fine if you stabilize it. Get a stake long enough to reach above the break and use it like a splint. Tape above and below the break and it should heal and strengthen at that point. Sounds like it basically supercropped itself.

First Indoor grow CFL 5 week bagseed

You should be able to tell better than us. How did it affect you when you used it? Hard to tell sometimes when young, but I'd lean sativa as a guess.

Thin black lines in thick white lines on leaf

Totally understand. Our yard is pretty wild and we've got just about every pest you can imagine so I'm kind of over the curiosity stage, myself. I just want them gone.

Thin black lines in thick white lines on leaf

These are actually pretty tough to deal with because the larvae are between the layers of the leaves and protected from sprays or dusts. Also, they pupate in the soil so external treatments to the plant give limited benefit. If you somehow removed/killed all of them in your plant, the flies...
