With the dehumidifier sitting outside the tent, blowing air out the back and onto the intake, the humidity is still sitting at 71% !!! Any suggestions how best to get that down? I don't want to turn the exhaust fan up much more due to noise and the fact the carbon filter doesn't work too well...

Yeah humid as hell here too. I have borrowed a dehumidifier but it runs hot as hell! Perhaps try the damp crystals a bit further from the fan?

Also, I appreciate you are probably wanting to keep energy costs down to have a "minimal" bonsai mother grow (I am looking into doing this myself), but 36 watts probably isn't enough. Could you throw one more on there?

Woohoo! I am struggling with humidity as you are. I am looking into dehumidifier crystal gel thingies. I think given the tiny scale of your grow, they would be ideal for you. You could put it inside if there is room, or right by your intake if not.

Oh yeah, and I should also say the other newbie lesson I've learned, which I already *knew* before I started but blundered in regardless.... DON'T START A GROW RIGHT BEFORE THE SUMMER, DUM DUM!

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a quieter circulation fan for inside my tent. Are tower fans quieter than standard desk fans? I have read that this is so, but looking for someone with real world experience. I guess a tower fan is also better in terms of it having greater vertical reach...

It's already outside the tent, I figured inside the tent would a) be too hot and b) not be that effective due to the air exchange in there. It's still kicking out too much heat though :S

Hahah! I'm sure they will be ok. Root mass won't be that big yet. Just get it done immediately and they will be fine. Be sure to give them a good dose of root tonic when you transplant to minimise the shock and speed up recovery.

Mine were similarly slow. They will be growing like crazy underground, putting out roots. Having them in a big pot means they will put more energy into root growth at the moment I believe. Get them separated into individual pots NOW though. Their roots are gonna tangle in that same pot and...

Also don't worry if growth looks slow at this stage, the plant is putting more energy into growing roots underground than it is leaves above ground. It'll take off once its root system is well established.
