3500k OK for a grow, or not enough red? I don't want to seem impatient, but I need a project dammit. :)

OK, looking at the Bridgelux BXRC-30E4000-F-03 (3000k) and BXRC-50C4000-F-04 (5000k). Good choices? Thinking of a 2:1 3000k:5000k ratio. Any suggestions are appreciated. ETA: It looks like the BXRC-30E4000-F-03 are hard to find. Would you substitute or wait for them to come back in stock?

How long have they been planted? I recently had one take 8 days. I would have given up on her if it wasn't my last seed. She is happy and healthy now.

After reading Gaius' thread, I see that it might be just a little over ~$400 for two x 3 COB panels. I don't mind that if they will kick ass over the generic panels I was looking at.

The 2700k lights are what you want for flower/budding. 6500k for veg.

Not sure if you are around your grow enough to check and manually switch over, but you could take the timer out of the loop which should tell you if the ballast or timer is causing the problem.

Just parroting info, but with autos I have read that it is usually best to go 2-3 weeks after the "advertised" finishing time. They look delicious though.

What kind of timer are you running? I've never had good luck with those manual timers. I know they work great for a lot of people, but not me. I have two of these and love them.

Cool. Checking out your grow right now. What would you think of 2x 300w Vipars as the only lighting in a tent half your size?

Looking at Vipar lights. I know they are on the low end, but I have saw some very nice grows with them. Advertised "true" wattage is supposed to be ~190w for the 300w panels and ~260w for the 400w panels. :shrug:
