Just to add to my post above. If in theory you could get 10 pounds from a plant in 1000 gallons, do you know you can't get 3 from a plant in 250 gallons?

I don't know. "I" would think that there is a point of diminishing returns. Yield of a 250 gallon vs 1000 gallon when you consider all the extra space you are taking up for 1 plant and the work and cost involved in maintaining that space. But, what do I know (WDIK)?

Plenty of great information on this site, other sites and even Youtube. You certainly can harm the plants if you over-do it, but you just have to use some common sense.

Have you researched LST techniques? You may be able to veg longer and still control the height.

Why not go with 50 gallon pots/barrels? Would be easier to manage than a singe 1000 gallon. Not putting all your "chickens" in one basket type of thing.

Replace the wood with some aluminum tubing (Ebay), or just stainless rods, and pop some holes in the hood. If your grow area is ventilated, not sure why it would cause heat problems.

I agree with this. You seem to be a DIYer like myself. Keep going. No reason you can't cool that.

Mine get stripper names that start with the same letter as their strain. Sabrina = Super Skunk Natalia = Northern Lights etc. Keep in mind I am only going to grow a few plants at a time. If you are growing a room full, I would probably go with Dr Jekyll or just call them "weed". :)

Hey, just noticed your MG perlite also has nutes. If you want to change anything, I would change the perlite.

I think a beginner (like myself and the OP) are better off with FF or MG. There are other organic soils out there like Espoma. No need to complicate things on the first grow. Get a grow under your belt and advance from there. I'm confused, from the pics it looks like you already have MG...
