If your only 48x24x60 I would consider just doing a two bucket with a third bucket as your res outside the tent. ONE good RDWC plant would stuff that tent full of bud. Airwalker has done some cool shit, he led you on the right track.

This would actually be the best way to do it. Have the top off hold whatever the maximum amount of water the plants will use until next res change. Literally mix the top off and let IT do the work keeping your stuff in check during the week.

Sorry if this has been said, but you are totally over complicating it. Listen, get a one gallon jug and mix up a strong nutrient solution using the same ratio you normally use. Fill your system up with water, then use the nutrient jug solution to get your PPM back to where you want. Adjust PH...

Fix your PH and see what happens. Your roots don't actually look bad. They still have the individual strands staying apart and not stuck together with shit. You said your using chlorine? What kind? Bleach, shock, UC?

Me, by the time I am seeing a decent 2nd set of TRUE leaves I am running 100ppm of calmag and gh three part. Other people don't add anything until the leaves yellow a bit and that works too.
