I have the 400 watt 15 inches away, keep in mind these are under a week old. Is this to much?

How close should I get the light since there seedlings. I mean I can get it REALLY close and it still wont be hot enough to burn them but i hear to much light bad for seedlings.

Yeah it is, theyre taking ageeees. The 6 inch netpots havnt reached the bucket yet i dont even wanna think how long the 1 10 inch pot is gunna take. Total pain in the ass since I have to hand mist them till they do

No nutrients, and the light is a 400watt mh in a cooltube and gives off like no heat. Temps are only like 78 at the hottest points

I dont know whats wrong the plant is only like 5 days old and the leaves are yellowing. What could be causing this?

Yeah mh is better than cfl for veg. I originally was gunna go with a CFL grow but i shelled out the money for HID lighting and returned the CFLs to home depot anywho does my current arrngement look alright

alright rearranged things a bit. Covered rockwool with hydroton and moved the light closer Heres how i have it now Does this look alright?

Should I move the rockwool deeper down in the bucket then? I assumed itd be bad to cover it with a bunch of hydroton

Also how much hydroton should I add

Id probably say maybe 1 1/2 feet to 2 feet max. Cant give exact ammount since im not home at the moment. Theres not very much radiant heat

Well It's a very small tent (24 cubic feet) and I have a 400CFM fan exhausting through the cooltube + a 80 CFM fan blowing in cold air so the cooltube doesnt put out very much heat, Ill just move it as close as I can without it feeling uncomfortable I just kinda figured it didnt need to be any...

Eventually I suppose, I was going to add more hydroton ontop though i was just waiting for them to get a little stronger

I have the lighting schedual on 18/6. Like I said I could move the light closer though lol. It's also only been like 4 days since it sprouted

No I leave my fan on 24/7

Alright also how should I gauge how close to move my light, I have a good ventilation system so it really doesnt get very hot. I could move it alot closer without it being uncomfortable I was just trying to be on the safe side

I'd use it to cool your light. I have cold air constantly flowing into my tent from outside through a 4inch duct fan and it exhausts it back out through a 6 inch inline fan. Has worked great keeping my temps to at around 73-75
